Right To Privacy Of Your Financial Situation
Your right to privacy also covers your financial transactions and acts. It is, therefore, illegal for any banker to disclose your financial information to any third party without your express consent. It is unconstitutional for a bank to release your statement of account or account balance to a third party without your consent. It does not matter whether the information was disclosed orally or in writing. It is unlawful for a bank to disclose the content of your documents deposited with the bank for safe-keeping to any third party without your authority and consent.
